Ground Bison has more protein, omega fatty acids, iron, and other nutrients than other traditional meats, partly due to how the bison are raised. Bison is not a domesticated animal and is left to graze on pastures while being handled as little as possible. This gives the meat a rich clean flavor that can be used in any recipe that calls for ground meat, with significantly less fat. Be careful to not overcook, because of the lean nature of the meat. Our bison comes to us from Great Range Bison in Colorado where they process bison from four family-owned ranches in the USA and Canada.
